The Space: This Part Lives Up to the Hype
Walking into Be Our Guest will make you gasp. That part is real. There are three dining rooms: the Grand Ballroom with its chandeliers and glittering snow falling outside the windows, the West Wing with its thundering storms and the portrait that shreds itself every few minutes, and the lighter Rose Gallery. Every single room is packed with Beauty and the Beast details. The theming is extraordinary and it's hard to find a comparable experience anywhere else in Magic Kingdom.
The Beast makes his rounds through the dining room during the meal. If you're there for that moment, and many people are, it delivers.
The Food: Good, Not Great
The menu has changed since filming, but the setup is the same: a three-course prix fixe meal. The steak was cooked beautifully and nicely seasoned. It was not, however, the best steak available on the Magic Kingdom monorail loop. Not even close. The food is good. It's just a little mass-produced, which is the honest answer when you're running multiple seatings through a full-scale themed environment.
The dessert trio is a fun presentation. The gray stuff is mostly cookies and cream mousse and yes, it is delicious. The magic is real on that one.
The Experience: Immersive Theater More Than Fine Dining
Between the thunder in the West Wing, the flickering lights, the portrait, and the Beast's appearance, it's not exactly a quiet dinner. Service was friendly but the pacing felt a little fast, like they know another seating is waiting and so do you, because the waiting area is typically packed. At $72 per adult before drinks, you are paying for the atmosphere more than the food. That's not a criticism exactly, it's just important to know before you decide.
The West Wing is stunning but it can get intense for younger or more sensitive kids. The thunder cracks, the lights flicker, and the portrait shreds itself on a loop. If you have kids who are sensitive to spooky vibes, you can request the Ballroom instead when you check in. Worth knowing before you arrive so you're not surprised mid-meal.
The Honest Alternative
If you're after culinary fireworks, you'll find better flavor and value elsewhere. Take the monorail or walk over to the Contemporary and go to Steakhouse 71. The food is better, it's quieter, and it's considerably easier on your wallet. That's the honest answer for people who are eating dinner primarily to eat dinner.
Incredible Disney theater wrapped around a decent meal. A true once-and-done bucket list dinner.

I still take first-time visitors here just so they can experience it at least once. No one has gotten mad at me for that yet. The theming is genuinely undeniable. Just go in knowing what you're paying for.
