What Flavortown Actually Is
Guy Fieri's Flavortown Kitchen on The Island in Pigeon Forge is a restaurant, entertainment complex, and mild sensory event all at once. There's a 14-lane duckpin bowling alley, a 10,000 square foot arcade, a full cocktail menu, and the food. Bold colors everywhere, loud in the best way, and genuinely committed to the bit. Guy Fieri doesn't believe in subtlety, and this place does not either.
The Food: What We Ordered
Pretzel bites: We ordered pretzel bites and got pretzel chunks in a hot tub of beer cheese and maple bacon aioli. Unexpected? Yes. Delicious? Honestly, yeah. This is the right way to start a meal here.
Buffalo wings: Good kick, well-cooked. The real star was the dipping sauce: blue cheese with wasabi. Yes you read that right. It works better than it has any right to.
Bacon mac cheeseburger: This is the award-winning burger and it earned it. Crispy bacon, six-cheese mac, crispy onions, and Guy's signature Donkey Sauce stacked on a garlic-buttered brioche bun. The messiest burger I've had in a while and maybe the most satisfying. Was it over the top? One hundred percent. But that's exactly the point. When you're at a place called Flavortown, subtlety can wait.
The Entertainment
We didn't have time to bowl or hit the arcade on this visit, but here's what's available: 14-lane duckpin bowling and 10,000 square feet of arcade games. Think Chuck E. Cheese on energy drinks but with more Donkey Sauce. There's also a full cocktail menu and desserts if you want to extend the visit. We had a long drive ahead so we tapped out after eating, but the space is genuinely designed for a full afternoon or evening.
Flavortown is on The Island in Pigeon Forge, the same complex as Margaritaville Island Hotel and the fountain show. If you're staying at the hotel, this is a short walk. The bowling and arcade make it a natural multi-hour stop if you're with kids or teens.
It is loud. It is chaotic. It is not a quiet dinner option. Go in calibrated for the experience and you'll have a good time. Go in expecting a calm meal and you will be surprised.
Flavortown delivers exactly what it promises. Bold, weird, completely unhinged, and genuinely fun.
Would I come back just for the food? Maybe not. But for the full experience, yes, it's worth a stop. The bacon mac cheeseburger alone is worth making time for, and the pretzel bites in beer cheese are a better appetizer than they have any right to be. Just know what you're signing up for: this is a neon bowling alley that also serves burgers in a skillet of cheese. That is the vibe. Embrace it.
