First Impressions

The exterior looked clean and modern, always a good sign when checking into somewhere you've never stayed. The lobby was bright and welcoming, check-in was quick, no weird smells, no sketchy vibes. The front desk staff was friendly. The space has a simple design, not overly fancy but not run-for-the-hills either. A solid start for a last-minute booking.

The Amenities

Marketplace: A decent grab-and-go selection for late night snacks or forgotten supplies. Drinks cooler, microwavable meals, chips, crackers, and a Ben and Jerry's ice cream cooler. No hotel marketplace is complete without frozen sugar happiness and this one delivers.

Business center: Some desk space, an ATM, a solid place to open your laptop. Modest but functional.

Guest laundry: Open 24 hours, which is genuinely useful mid-trip.

Fitness center: Actually pretty nice. Weight bench, free weights, elliptical, treadmill, and a bike. A motivational message on the back wall that says "take on your day," which for me meant "I'm going to Disney World." Same thing.

Pool: Basic rectangular setup with lounge chairs and a couple of tables. There are no slides or waterfalls. If you need a quick dip to cool off after a park day, this gets it done. They also have a pool lift for accessibility, which is always good to see.

The Free Shuttle

Pestana Orlando Suites offers a free shuttle to Disney, Universal, and SeaWorld. That's a meaningful perk if you want to skip parking fees entirely. The caveat: the schedule isn't very flexible, so if your park days are planned around specific arrival times the shuttle may not work for your rhythm. Worth checking the current schedule at the front desk before you rely on it. We opted to drive since we have Disney World annual pass parking, but for guests without a car or annual pass this could save real money.

The Room: King Suite

The king suite has a bathroom to the right as you enter with a backlit mirror, liquid soap, body lotion, a standup shower with toiletries, and a drip-style coffee maker on the vanity. No tub. Inside the main room: a desk, a sleeper sofa that makes the room sleep four, a flat screen TV, three large storage drawers, a king size bed, outlets throughout (no USB ports though, bring a USB adapter), iron, ironing board, extra bedding in the closet, safe, and a mini fridge with a small freezer section. Not a beverage cooler, an actual refrigerator.

The room felt a little muggy on arrival but the wall thermostat handled it. We had a view of the pool from the second floor, not bad. It's not Disney property but it was clean, it was fine, and we were barely in the room anyway.

Would I stay here again? Honestly yes, especially if I needed something affordable and close to the parks on short notice. It's not glamorous but it delivered exactly what it needed to: clean, comfortable, and a great backup plan.
